lyrics

Well I've been chasing this high
Gone through kingdoms far and wide
Couldn't see through snow so dense
And it's hardly making sense

Steady my hand
Traverse the land
Try to advance
Become a man

Steady my hand
Across the land
I will advance
To become a man

(Oh she said) Take me tonight
And don't you let me go
Let me sit right by your throne
(I want to) Find where you are
And never let go
I just cannot be alone

I love more than anything the air
As it howls at high speed and blows through my hair
Don't decide now what to say
So much depends on the stops on the way

Gone in the night
Shimmering light
Stars in my eyes
Now I can fly

Gone in the night
Seeing no light
Stars do not lie
Only they fly

(Oh she said) Take me tonight
And don't you let me go
Let me sit right by your throne
(I want to) Find where you are
And never let go
I just cannot be alone

(Oh she said) Take me tonight
And don't you let me go
Let me sit right by your throne
(I want to) Find where you are
And never let go
I just cannot be alone

(And she said) Take me tonight
And don't you let me go
I'm gonna call you my own
(I want to) Know where you are
And never let go
I just will not be alone

about

Blues Funeral Houston, Texas

Following a temporary hiatus for Sanctus Bellum in November of 2014, Sanctus Bellum members, Jan Kimmel, Cory Cousins, and Maurice
Eggenschwiler immediately formed Blues Funeral
recruiting Gabe Katz on bass, and spent the next several
months writing.
This has culminated into a diverse array of proto-metal
and progressive rock very much steeped in a vision of the music from the 60’s and 70’s.
